Exchange 2010 alla prova su vSphere

Eccovi un ennesimo articolo del blog vroom! di vmware, dove i loro tecnici analizzano le performance di vari ambienti vmware.

Questa volta è stato Exchange 2010 il protagonista del test, e a giudicare dai risultati, anche in questo caso il sistema ha scalato benissimo arrivando a gestire fino a 8000 mailbox con una singola VM.

Una cosa mi ha lasciato perplesso: siamo nel 2010 e exchange 2010 è un sistema nativo a 64 bit. Eppure anche al carico massimo del test, la VM non ha mai utilizzato realmente più di 2 vcpu delle 8 disponibili. Ma il multi-threaded spinto non dovrebbe essere oramai la norma?
