Nuovi limiti per vSphere

Steve Herrod a Cannes ha annunciato, durante la presentazione di vSphere (ovvero la nuova versione di VI3), i nuovi limiti fisici che avremo:

* 8 virtual CPUs per VI

* 256GB di RAM per ogni VM

* 40 GB/s network throughput

* fino a 64 nodi per cluster

* gestione di un massimo di 4096 cores

Con questi limiti sarà possibile pertanto realizzare veri e propri “mostri” virtuali, consentendo la creazione di VM anche per applicazioni molto gravose. La nuova banda massima gestibile servirà anche a consentire a VMotion di muovere macchine così corpose, altrimenti allineare 256 Gb di ram diventerebbe un’impresa impossibile.
