USB Mapping e VMware View

Sto iniziando a documentarmi per un progetto su VMware View, e ho trovato questo interessante articolo di Ian Gibbs su Yellow Bricks.
Oltre al singolo caso su Bitlocker e Windows 7 virtualizzato, l’insegnamento da fare proprio è ricordarsi di abilitare il direct access alle periferiche usb all’interno di una sessione View per non avere problemi di Access Denied sugli utenti. E’ possibile farlo in due modi:
– impostare nel registry la DWORD HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\RemovableStorageDevices\AllowRemoteDASD a 1
– Scegliere la GPO Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Removable Storage Access > All Removable Storage e impostare Allow direct access in remote sessions su Enabled

Da notare che questo limite si presenta solo su RDP e non su PCoIP.
