Veeam Backup 5, ancora alcune incompatibilità con vSphere 5

Come indicato in un post del forum da Anton Gostev, Veeam Backup & Replication 5.0.2 ha ancora delle incompatibilità con il nuovo vSphere 5:

• le repliche incrementali inviate a un nodo ESXi 5 falliscono (mentre la replica iniziale funziona).
• Backup in modalità SAN access falliscono per i dischi presenti in volumi VMFS5.
• SureBackup non funziona quando viene usato ESXi 5 come host del virtual lab.
• Multi-OS FLR non funziona quando ESXi 5 è usato per eseguire la FLR helper virtual appliance.
• vCenter Server 5.0 fa fallire un job con l’errore “Inactive datastore” error. I job su host standalone ESXi 5 sembrano non essere affetti da questo problema.

Quindi, se state pensando di aggiornare a vSphere 5 e usate Veeam come soluzione di backup, attendete che Veeam rilasci una hotfix per risolvere questi problemi.
Hanno pianificato di rilasciare l’hotfix che risolve questi problemi in circa 2 settimane. Potete seguire il thread indicato per sapere quando la fix sarà disponibile.
