vExpert 2011

Luca Dell'Oca, July 12, 2011July 11, 2011

While I was away for a two weeks holiday, I received a wondeful mail from John Troyer, Senior Social Media Strategist at VMware, where I was designated as vExpert 2011.

For those who do not know about this, vExpert award (quoting VMware words) is given to individuals who have significantly contributed to the community of VMware users over the past year. vExperts are book authors, bloggers, VMUG leaders, tool builders, and other IT professionals who share their knowledge and passion with others. These vExperts have gone above and beyond their day jobs to share their technical expertise and communicate the value of VMware and virtualization to their colleagues and community..

Arnim van Lieshout has realized in his blog an unofficial directory of vExperts 2011, where you can see who we are (at least those who publicly told they received the award) divided by country.

I’m among the 5 italian awarded (so my best congratulations to my fellows), and all over the directory there are real Gurus of VMware.

I feel really proud and humble at the same time to be awarded.

So, let me say thanks to all of you! Without my daily 600 blog readers, I would not have been awarded for sure 🙂

Finallt, I can add this new logo to my titles anc certification, hoping I will be able with my commitment to renew the award next year.
