vSphere 4.1 Update 1

E’ stato rilasciato qualche giorno fa il primo update per l’ultima versione di vSphere.

Come sempre accade in casa VMware, l’aggiornamento porta con se numerosi driver nuovi o migliorati, e alcune nuove funzioni. Leggendosi le release notes ufficiali, alcune novità sono degne di nota:

  • supporto per gli ultimi sistemi operativi, tra cui Red Hat 5.5 e 6.0, e gli ultimi service pack di Seven e 2008 R2
  • supporto in vcenter alle ultime release dei vari database
  • supporto fino a 160 processori logici per ESX

Vedremo nei prossimi mesi se ci sarà ancora spazio per ulteriori Updates, oppure inizieremo a parlare già della prossima Major Release.
