vShield: Trend Micro is no more alone…

Luca Dell'Oca, February 24, 2012February 23, 2012

While the japanese vendor has release some weeks ago the last version 8 of Deep Security, till now the only real antivirus/antimalware solution supporting vShield technology from VMware, few days ago Kaspersky announced its own vshield solution, named Kaspersky Security for Virtualization, and BitDefender too announced its Security for Virtualized Environments.

Right now there is not much more than some announces, I tried to check with some distributors and there is no product, but this time seems they are not only marketing activities.

Finally this market niche is moving, and let’s hope competition will give benefits to all, even to Trend Micro; to be honest, their product has always been good even if it has no direct competitor, and has proven to customers to be stable and effective. Let’s see what their competitors will be able to do.
