Veeam has accelerated it release pace about the new upcoming features for the next major v7 version of Veeam Backup & Replication. It took a month between the first announcement (support for vCloud Director) and the second (integration with vSphere Web client), but yesterday after only a week it came out the third news, that is the support for Microsoft SharePoint.
Just like the Explorer for Exchange, this tool will allow for granular restores of any object inside a Microsoft Sharepoint backup. I never had deep experiences with this Microsoft product, but many Sharepoint admins told me the object restore is not a trivial task, so this tool is going to be a great addition to and admin toolset.

Also, just like the Explorer for Exchange, this tool will be available also in the free edition of Veeam Backup & Replication; bacause of the wide spread of Exchange and SharePoint among companies, this offer is for sure a great commercial move by Veeam.
